Our mission is to produce wines of the highest quality, using minimal intervention and sustainable agriculture practices.
From step one our commitment is...
To always work to offer the highest quality in each of our wines, at the best value in its range.
And to embody the meaning of Chakana as a "bridge to the top".
We are characterized by being pioneers, having the courage to challenge conventions and explore new possibilities that show alternative paths.
These values reflect integrity, the pillar of all our relationships.
Whether human, or with nature, which has provided for us since the times of our ancestors. Always based on listening and observing our surroundings.
Ayni is a Quechua word which means cooperation and solidarity. It’s the principle of reciprocity. It’s more than just a word–it’s a way of life.
One of the principles of the Andean Worldview is that of Reciprocity: we must all give back, return to Mother Earth all that we take. This principle includes several values, expressed in forms of work that create better relationships between individuals by way of coexistence. Among these values is Ayni, a form of organization that functions within a framework of equal co-responsibility; that is–work, give, receive and contribute.
Chakana is a winery that uses biodynamics as its philosophy and practice, starting from the fundamental concepts of organic agriculture and expanding its scope to become sustainable agriculture, promoting biodiversity and a well-being model that includes plants, the people who produce food and the people who consume it. It transforms into practices that connect with the Earth since its conception, in a reciprocal bond.
