Ancestral Andean culture
Our identity, inspired by ancestral Andean culture, is based on the philosophical principle of unity consciousness, in which everything that exists is integrated into a single system, where everything has its relevance in the correct space-time.
The Chakana or Cruz del Sur was and is still used to this day as the organizing base of science, culture and society.
It’s a constellation of four stars, and every third of May the position of the constellation allows a perfect alignment of the vertical with the horizontal, occurring once a year: "the day without time".".
Fruit of its Quechua origin. The Chakana is the bridge that integrates
culture with the space-time dimension
"Chaka" refers to "bridge or union", and the suffix "na" means "what serves as or for". It is represented as a 4-sided ladder that acts as a link between two complementary elements. Therefore, the rites dedicated to each point of the Chakana are each important within that space-time, in order to unite with the whole. Following the rhythm of the Chakana is like going along a river following the current–it shows us a symbolic path with a specific order, which we simply have to get on and enjoy life.
One of its principles and values is that of reciprocity: we must all give back, return to the earth more than it gives us. Among these values is that of Ayni: a form of organization that occurs within a framework of equal co-responsibility: work, give, receive and contribute. "To receive, first you must five"
The philosophy of Bodega Chakana is based on respect for the environment in which we live and on a wine identity that is authentic, due to its conscious viticulture, backed by certified organic and biodynamic practices; original, since we respect the characteristics of each farm, both in its character and in its identity; and conscious, because as part of an integral system we have the responsibility to take care of the earth, its ecosystem and the communities that form part of it.
