Biodynamic agriculture ensures self-sustainable cultivation practices that respect the ecosystem
With the objective of forming an agricultural individuality that strengthens the producer's skills and their relationship with the ecological, social, economic and cultural environment. Honest, natural, authentic wines that haven’t been tampered with.
The essence of our work is to give back more to the environment than it gives us; This is the only way we can ensure that our activity is sustainable over time. And society is involved as part of that context.
The Huertas project was born with the need and social commitment that we have with each worker.
At Chakana we have 2 hectares of orchards for our workers. The purpose of these orchards is to provide healthy food for our team, while also giving them the possibility of another source of income. To accomplish this, we provide: land, agricultural machinery, fuel, biodynamic seeds, and irrigation water, so that they can grow gardens and can sell what they grow.
The vegetables harvested
are intended for...
The workers. Bags of vegetables for a healthy and nutritious diet are delivered to each member of our team.
The production of biodynamic preserves, later to be sold with part of the proceeds going to the workers.
Direct sales from our workers to merchants in the area.
