The mountain range is the ladder that allows the sun to go up and down its borders each day. The sun and its Chakana give us a circular world, the part in which we are united to a system, a land that looks at us and embraces us.
Nuna is our spirit, the vision of an agriculture that seeks the seed of a possible future. The way to integrate into something bigger than ourselves. Ayni is our central value: To receive you must first give.
Twenty years ago, we wrote our name on the stone because we want to give this space back better than we found it. Faced with so many unanswered questions, Biodynamics was always a solid ground for us to stand on. Being organic is a principle of love for these lands, the commitment that within each bottle are the real hands that cultivate, the identity of the place, the successes and mistakes made.

Chakana 20 Vueltas al Sol is a Malbec that was born in a very specific plot of Finca Los Cedros de Paraje Altamira, in Valle de Uco. On this plot there is a pronounced patch of calcareous and stony soil that differs from the rest. It’s a special vineyard whose subtlety has always stood out and one of the first we bet on in our growth stage. We have stayed organic there despite adversity–in a way it’s our trophy and legitimizes what we do.

This Malbec was born in a hot, dry year, giving it a pronounced structure that maintains the highly unique characteristics of the Altamira area. You can feel the mountain landscape, the geraniums, the herbs in your nose. You can enjoy the delicate, subtle taste in your mouth. It’s a wine that fills you up and stays.
We’re sharing this wine with you in celebration of 20 years on our journey. We wanted to capture this moment, summarize it in a label that, when opened, would show our evolution and what we’ve learned.
We can’t wait for you to try it and take in the passion with which we all work. Those of us who were, are and will be part of Bodega Chakana, raise a glass with you today; We celebrate the strength of our philosophy and we promise to continue our infinite search to make things better with each day.
