Our vineyards are in Mendoza, strategically distributed to be able to bring you a complete and diverse idea of what our lands have to offer.
Soil is essential for food production, constituting one of the main carbon reserves on the planet and serving as a reflection of the terroir. In the search for the best wines, therefore, one cannot underestimate its importance or fail to attend to its care or knowledge.
Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
Our biodynamic farm, located south of the Mendoza River with the Cordón del Plata to the west, covers some eighty hectares of vineyards that are integrated into a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna; at a height of 960 meters above sea level; with a pleasant, sunny, dry climate and a favorable thermal amplitude, it has a water reservoir for drip irrigation, which comes from the mountain where ducks, herons, fish and frogs coexist; two hectares of community gardens, olive groves, fruit trees and farm animals such as sheep, goats, chickens and pigs. Likewise, in recent years we have planted plots with various crops such as alfalfa, vetches, rye, wheat, etc. partly for animal feed and compost nutrients; on the other hand, between rows of vines there is a garden of aromatic and homeopathic plants that are used for our biodynamic preparations.
The first vines were planted in 2002 on silty loam soil, with deep sandy-loam patches in North-South orientation, using trellis conduction. In terms of grape varieties, we have mainly Malbec, Bonarda, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Certified organic and biodynamic management, NON GMO, for life. Thus, while we are convinced that our wines are born in the vineyard, we grow healthy, rich and vibrant grapes that, vintage after vintage, are the soul of our Nuna and SobreNatural wines. Additionally, Finca Nuna is where you can find the heart of Chakana... the winery!

The heart of Finca Nuna
Inside our biodynamic farm, located at the end of the emblematic Cobos street in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, is where, since 2002, you can find the heart of Finca Nuna... the winery! With its three warehouses designed to house our grapes, each vintage has areas for grinding, juice fermentation in stainless steel tanks, classic unpainted cement basins, and concrete eggs. In addition, we have a room with casks, foudres and barrels to age some of our wines. You can also find a wide, panoramic tasting room with a terrace to enjoy our wines with a view of the vineyard, looking upon a majestic sunset and the snow-capped Andes mountain range.

Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, Mendoza.
Our certified organic and biodynamic-in-transition farm is located on the flourishing G.I. (geographical indication) of Paraje Altamira to the south of the Tunuyán River, at about 1,100 meters above sea level in the district of La Consulta, in the department of San Carlos. This G.I. is characterized by its cool, sunny climate and a marked thermal amplitude due to being located at the foot of the mountain. The vineyard has an area of 15 hectares with a reservoir of crystalline meltwater (for drip irrigation), is surrounded by leafy cedars and fruit trees that are over fifty years old, and has a colorful assortment of native birds which together make up a rich biodiversity. The first vines were planted in 2011 on sandy loam soils with calcareous gravel, where fruit trees were grown in the past. Since the 2012 vintage, the vineyards of Finca los Cedros have been farmed organically, and its varieties of grapes are Malbec, Cabernet Franc and, to a lesser extent, Garnacha, which are harvested manually in each vintage and placed in small boxes, to be later transferred to our winery in Agrelo, where they will be vinified.

The pureness of Altamira
La Consulta, Valle de Uco, Mendoza
To the south of Paraje Altamira, near Finca Los Cedros, if you continue along Costa Canal Uco street, you can find the wild Finca AYNI. Located in one of the highest areas of this G.I. (1,100 meters above sea level), where there was no agricultural development (due to the impossibility of irrigating upstream), in the winter of 2007 we planted our first vines on native flora: virgin soil with sandy loam characteristics, calcareous gravel, and an abundance of large, calcium carbonate-covered rocks and different strata, resulting in a virgin soil rich in diverse microbiology. With an area of 36 hectares, at Finca AYNI we plant Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Garnacha, Cabernet Franc and Monastrell on pie franco. The Malbec from this vineyard is divided into two plots of soil with different characteristics (one of them with a higher concentration of gravel). We also have a reservoir of fresh meltwater (for drip irrigation). In this Andean environment, birds and foxes coexist together with a large diversity of native flora: Thyme, Jarilla Lavender, and cacti, among others. As in our neighboring Finca Los Cedros, in each vintage we harvest manually in small boxes which will later be transferred to our winery in Agrelo. Finca Ayni has organic certification.

Size: 25 hectares, 18 of which have vineyards (Malbec, Chardonnay, Pinot, Garnacha, Monastrell, Roussanne). The rest is native Andean flora.
