ORGANIC, BIODYNAMIC AND NATURAL

Nature is at risk and it’s necessary to be conscious of our production and feeding practices.

“We’re not sustainable because that’s not enough. Sustainability protocols are only promises for the future, not concrete actions for improvement. We prefer to do something that isn’t just a promise, or a promotion, or an effort to be above the standards. It's a real commitment to making things work. It’s not a requirement for what we do, but it comes as an addition. The danger of the discourse of sustainability and marketing is that you say you’re doing something, when in reality there’s no huge commitment. Sustainability, as we understand it, is something that comes by default–if it’s not sustainable, we can’t do it”, says Gabriel, our enologist.

In a food system dominated by chemicals and consumerism, biodynamic agriculture stands out as the only significant certification system for winegrowing that guarantees conscious care and deep respect for the environment, the soil and its social impact.

OUR
WINES

They are produced with organic, biodynamic grapes, fermented with their own native yeasts and without any additives of any kind. The raw material is grown naturally, as is the winemaking process.

But we reject the “natural wine” label when it refers only to the presence or lack of added sulfites. Our approach is deep and complex. We want to return our focus to grape production methods and the relationship between winegrowers, nature and consumers. We don’t think that just any wine becomes "natural" simply because sulfur is not added to it–that would be a huge example of simplification.

We must respect our soil, nurturing and feeding it, so that it in turn can feed the crops we grow. It’s vital that nutrients are recycled around our vineyards, thereby maintaining a cycle of fertility. Composting is essential to this self-sustaining process and serves as a way to recycle the animal manure and organic waste we produce. The resulting fertilizer, duly treated with biodynamic preparations, is truly "the best natural fertilizer", ready for its task of giving new life to the soil.

THE NEED
TO RETURN MEANING
TO THE WORD “natural”

A movement that was born to rescue the individuality of each vineyard, so that wine can once again have social and cultural relevance.

So that it’s no longer seen as just a simple consumer product, but rather nourishment that accompanies everyday life. Nowadays, more and more producers, journalists and sommeliers misappropriate the word "natural" and use it to gain visibility or for marketing purposes.

The natural wine movement was born in Europe as an agricultural, cultural and ethical reaction to the standardization of industrial wine and its loss of contact with the earth, the soil, and nature. We are committed to practicing and transmitting that tradition.
